Hyperopia at City Galerie Wien featured a new installation 'The Only Trophy I Obtain' which incorporated additional video works, furniture, found objects and items from the film's set, alongside a collaged room divider by Maugile and paintings by Edwards.
Hyperopia, their psychedelic and disorientating two channel video installation, was shown in the second room. A series of vignettes come together to create a contemporary fable encompassing claustrophobic relationships, the transmission of ego, delusion, escapism, healing and the search for connection.
This installation includes elements of prints originally made for the Hyperopia film set by Waj Hussain and polaroid photos taken during the shoot by Joseph Campbell.
